Morphologies

Series of reliefs made from recycled plastic: Polypropylene, Polystyrene, Polyethylene.

2021-2022.

The reliefs in the Morphologies series are based on J.W. Goethe and Rudolf Steiner's theories about the metamorphosis of plants, about how in nature there is no fixed form, only ideas about forms, which are all in a continuous transformation, where each recognizable form is only a fleeting transition to the next. The reliefs lie in the gap between the natural and the unnatural, and depict abstract landscape and plant motifs that flow in and out of concrete form.
